Refund Policy

This policy explains how refunds are handled for SameRust digital subscriptions and in-game perks, including payment-provider purchases and delivery issues.

Last updated: July 5, 2026

1. Payment-provider refunds

Payments may be provided through one or more authorized payment providers. Depending on the checkout route, a provider may act as merchant of record, reseller, payment processor, or billing agent. The provider shown at checkout may handle payment collection, receipts, taxes, subscription billing, cancellation support, and eligible refunds.

Any provider terms, checkout notices, refund rules, or consumer-rights notices shown during checkout apply to that transaction in addition to this policy.

2. General refund position

SameRust products are digital access rights and are delivered electronically. Unless required by applicable law or approved under this policy or the applicable provider process, completed digital transactions are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. If a refund is approved, access to the refunded product, subscription, or perk will stop.

3. When a refund may be considered

A refund may be considered where:

  • there is an accidental duplicate charge;
  • the purchased digital access was not delivered after payment confirmation and reasonable support steps did not resolve the issue;
  • the product was materially not as described at checkout and the issue cannot be fixed within a reasonable time;
  • the applicable payment provider or consumer law gives you a withdrawal or refund right.

4. When refunds are usually not available

Refunds are usually not available for:

  • used digital access or active subscription time;
  • change of mind after purchase or after using the product;
  • failure to read product details, server requirements, or rules;
  • gameplay outcomes, rank, losses, server wipes, gameplay tuning, player population, or dissatisfaction with gameplay;
  • queue priority not resulting in immediate access during high demand, maintenance, outage, or capacity limits;
  • account bans, suspensions, revoked access, or moderation actions caused by cheating, fraud, abuse, harassment, chargeback abuse, or violation of server rules;
  • attempts to sell, trade, transfer, withdraw, exchange, or redeem digital perks for cash or third-party value.

5. EU, EEA, UK, and other consumer rights

Some customers may have statutory withdrawal or refund rights for digital content or services. Checkout notices and provider refund terms may explain how those rights are handled for your country and transaction. Where mandatory consumer law gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.

If digital access has started with your consent, your withdrawal rights may be limited where applicable law permits. The checkout provider may request and record any required consent during checkout.

6. How to request a refund

For payment-provider purchases, start with the receipt, buyer support link, or subscription management link for your checkout route. Include your order email, transaction ID, Steam ID, product name, purchase date, and a short description of the issue.

For delivery or game access issues, contact support@samerust.com. We may ask for your Steam ID, order details, selected server, and screenshots or logs needed to diagnose the issue.

7. Chargebacks and abuse

Fraudulent refund requests, chargeback abuse, payment disputes made after successful delivery, or attempts to obtain free access may result in revoked access, account restrictions, or refusal of future service, in addition to payment-provider fraud review.
